My name is Ingrid Kao and I'm a third year student studying illustration at Sheridan College in Canada
who is currently looking for an internship or co-op job for the Summer of 2025. This portfolio is a
demonstration of my skills as an artist, an illustrator, and a communicator looking to find an opportunity
in the creative industry.
Additionally, though I am a beginning at coding, everything on this website was coded by me!
My hope is to find a career one day in the video game or comic industry,
and so this portfolio caters to those aspects
of my work.
This portfolio is meant to be viewed on a computer.
VA: PROXY
I was brought onto VA: PROXY, an indie hack-and-slash action game by PyroLith,
as a concept and cover artist for the game. In this time I have created an
album cover for the soundtrack and art for the library pages for the game
on Steam.
ARSONIST, A RISK OF RAIN 2 MOD
I had the opportunity to work on a mod for Risk of Rain 2, of which
can be found here. I was responsible for the original concept,
promotional material, along with supplying the coding team with all 2D assets, and our 3D modeler
with turnarounds and references for the various 3D assets.
3D MODELS
Over the last three years, I have been creating turnarounds for the purpose
of aiding 3d modellers for various projects. These include modded skins for characters
in Risk of Rain 2, commissions, or just for fun!
I have also included the finished 3D model where applicable.
All models are made by Dotflare.
COMICS
I adore making comics. As tedious as they can be to make, the finished
product is well worth the work that it takes to complete them. Most of the comics
I make are fan creations, though I do make original comics from time to time.
